2024-11-11 – Version 1.2.8 Changelog

The 1.2.8 is available for these FxMagnetic Scanners and Autotraders: RSI Trader, Candlestick Labs, Pinbar, HHM, Engulfing, STAR, Onyx, and Phoenix.

Scanner (Indicator) Improvements:

• You can now choose the best strategy after optimization based on the highest “Return/Drawdown Ratio.”
• Added a “Minimum Return/Drawdown Ratio” filter. This lets you set a minimum level for this ratio, so you only get strategies that meet it.
• After optimization, the Scanner (indicator) will show the name of the strategy it used. This helps avoid confusion when running multiple optimizations.
• You can now export trading signals to a CSV file for extra analysis.

Autotrader Improvements:

• For FxMagnetic RSI Trader, we fixed the names of two variables in the EA Inputs tab. They now show correctly as “RSI Period” and “RSI Level.”

FxMagnetic Candlestick Labs Released

Today, we released FxMagnetic Candlestick Labs, which combines all the following apps into one:

• FxMagnetic Pinbar™ (Scanner + Autotrader)
• FxMagnetic HHM™ (Scanner + Autotrader)
• FxMagnetic Engulfing™ (Scanner + Autotrader)
• FxMagnetic STAR™ (Scanner + Autotrader)
• FxMagnetic Onyx™ (Scanner + Autotrader)
• FxMagnetic Phoenix™ (Scanner + Autotrader)

Now, users can access 12+ candlestick pattern strategies, like Pinbar, Hammer, Engulfing, and more, all in one place with a monthly or annual subscription available at www.fxmagnetic.com.

With this change, there’s no need to download and manage six different Scanners and Autotraders. Candlestick Labs offers one Scanner (indicator) for all patterns and one Autotrader to handle trades automatically based on your settings, making the whole process simpler and more efficient.

You’ll also notice only one auto-installer for Candlestick Labs, but it will install both the Candlestick Scanner (indicator) and the Candlestick Autotrader. Those have all the candlestick pattern strategies that were available in all six apps before.

2024-09-19 – Version 1.2.7 Changelog

New Addition:

• RSI Trader added to the FxMagnetic Suite: This software allows users to create strategies based on popular RSI strategies.

Scanner (Indicator) Improvements:

• Added two new metrics to the dashboard and CSV export: “Max Drawdown in Pips” and “Return/Drawdown Ratio.”
• Resolved an issue where the Scanner was slow or caused MetaTrader to freeze when using specific Trend Filters.

Autotrader Improvements:

• Autotrader now gives a warning when attached to a currency pair that is not tradeable (trading disabled on the broker’s side).
• Fixed an issue in the Equity Protection feature that prevented Autotrader from resuming trading after equity returned to normal levels.
• Resolved a bug where Autotrader repeatedly notified about paused and resumed trading due to a drop in Win Rate during strategy optimization, which was unnecessary during that process.

Released FxMagnetic™ Indicator – 1.2.6

• Phantom Signals: Addressed the issue of invalid signals, nicknamed “Phantoms“.
• Trend Filter Behavior: Corrected the behavior of the trend filter.
• Information Panel Enhancements:
  • Now, the panel displays signals per week and signals per day.
  • Shows broker (account server), currency, and timeframe.
  • Combined Max consecutive wins and losses into a single line and rearranged other texts.
  • “Expectancy in pips” is the average pips gained or lost per trade, calculated by dividing the total profit by the number of trades.
• Algorithm Improvement: Implemented an algorithm making the indicator perform computations much faster. This means faster backtests and optimizations.
• New Parameters:
  • PickBestOptimizationParamsBasedOnX = ProfitPips/WinRatio. This allows users to choose how the indicator must pick the best-performing strategy: by the highest profit or by the highest win rate.
  • MaximumWeeksToAcceptSettings – this parameter helps users filter out optimization results based on how long they took to generate signals. If you set MaximumWeeksToAcceptSettings=30, the indicator will only accept strategy parameters that produce the chosen number of signals within 30 weeks. If a strategy takes more than 30 weeks to generate the required signals, it will be ignored.
  • MinimumSignalsPerWeek – this parameter lets you choose strategies based on how many signals they generate each week. If you set MinimumSignalsPerWeek=2, the system will only consider strategies that produce at least 2 signals per week on average. Strategies that generate fewer than 2 signals per week will be ignored.
  • ShowLastClosedSignalInfo – this parameter allows users to choose to display the last closed signal information on the panel. By default, it is hidden.
  • ShowCurrentSignalInfo – this parameter allows users to choose to display or hide the current signal information on the panel. By default, it is visible, and this is a must if you are using Autotrader in the “Indicator Sync” mode on the same chart. If you hide current signal information from the chart and have the Autotrader in the “Indicator Sync” mode running on the same chart, it will fail to follow the signals from the indicator.
• Live Signal Display: Resolved an issue where new signals were not shown in live mode when the trend indicator was enabled.

Released FxMagnetic™ Autotrader – 1.2.6

• We rearranged the parameters in the Inputs section for more convenience.
• Account Balance Simulated: This new function is useful when you are running multiple Autotraders on the same account and want to make them pretend like they are trading on a certain account size. If you put $5000 there, the Autotrader will function like it is trading on a $5000 account and use that for lot size calculation when risking % per trade.
• Close and Pause Functionality: Added functionality for closing and pausing based on Time, Equity, and WinRate.
  • Close and Pause on Equity Drop – useful when trading on prop firms or if you want to protect your funds in general.
  • Close and Pause on Win Rate Drop – useful when trading a strategy where the Win Rate is very sensitive, usually with a negative risk-to-reward ratio.
  • Close and Pause on Time – This is useful when you want the Autotrader to stop trading at a certain time. For example, close all trades at the end of the trading session on Friday and pause trading until Monday.
• Trend Filter Fixes: Fixed issues related to trend filters when the Autotrader is running in the “Independent” mode.

Released FxMagnetic Phoenix™ Indicator – 1.2.5

• FxMagnetic Phoenix™ scans for Spinning Tops & Doji patterns.
• The new algorithm has been implemented, making the indicator perform computations much faster.
• The information panel on the right of the chart shows signals per week and signals per day.
• The information panel on the right of the chart shows the broker (account server), currency, and timeframe.
• The information panel on the right of the chart shows how many weeks ago the 1st signal appeared.
• Added ShowLastClosedSignalInfo parameter, which allows you to show or hide the last closed signal-related info on the panel.
• After the optimization in finished, the indicator also prints simulation numbers for the worst win rate and worst net profit. This gives you insight into whether the ‘reverse’ strategy is worth trying.

Released FxMagnetic™ Autotrader – 1.2.5

• Trend filters were added to the EA so you can use them when running EA in ‘Independent Mode’.
• Added new parameter StopTradingWhenWinRateDropsBelowX, which allows you to force the EA to stop opening trades if the Winning Rate on the indicator drops below a certain level.

Released FxMagnetic™ Autotrader – 1.2.4

• Added Trailing Stop functionality.
  • Trailing Stop Value (Pips) – this is where the user can set when to activate the TS function. TS function works like a ratchet. If you set TSV to 50 pips, it means the EA will start TS once the trade gets into a profit of 50 pips. A stop-loss will follow 50 pips behind as the market price moves but doesn’t go back if a price comes back.
  • InstantTrailingStop – the ITS works a bit differently than the regular TS. The EA activates the ITS immediately and will make the stop-loss follow behind as the market price moves in your favor but doesn’t go back if a price comes back. With ITS, a Trailing Stop Value determines how many pips behind the stop loss has to trail.
• Autotrader now displays the Magic Number (or your custom text) at the top right corner. This makes it easier for you to distinguish strategies.

Released FxMagnetic Onyx™ Indicator – 1.2.4

• Improved “Trade Filters” functionality to operate with the FxMagnetic Trend indicator. When the Trade Filter is enabled, FxMagnetic will give signals only in the direction of the selected Trend Filter.

Released FxMagnetic HHM™, FxMagnetic Engulfing™, and FxMagnetic STAR™ Indicator – 1.2.4

Updated FxMagnetic Engulfing™ Autotrader.

• Fixed problem with incorrect lot sizes being used on some pairs.
• FxMagnetic Autotrader (EA) shows what the next lot size will be according to the risk parameters and Stop Loss. If EA runs in “Indicator Sync” mode, it will use the Stop Loss set in the indicator dashboard.
• If Stop Loss = 0 (not set) and FxMagnetic Autotrader (EA) is set to use “Risk Per Trade (%)” money management mode, the EA shows an explanation that it cannot calculate lot size for % risk without SL. In such a case, EA will use the minimum possible lot size set by your broker (usually 0.01).
